So far, Jim Herrmann, David Hakan, Jim Abel, Joe Carr, Bill Peet, Holly Taylor, and ZZ Rose have confirmed for this month.

We'll start at 7:00 and plan to go until 10:00. The place is open until 2:00 and would probably like to find a way to fill the rest of the night with music. Let's discuss how to handle it.

Who's playing? Post your intention to play so that others that find this post will know who's playing.

Will there be an audience?

I'm down to play if there's going to be an audience. I love that we play in a different part of the city each time to make it accessable to different folks from all over, but it doesn't do any good to do that if its going to be the same people every time anyway and we don't do sufficient promotion in the area we're going to play. Not that I don't enjoy jamming with you all, I just think a lot of others would like our music and our message and would be a lot more fun with a crowd.

So how can we improve attendance? I have one idea. What if each month we make the concert a fundraiser or supportive event for a different activist or community organization. That would fit well with the progressive nature of our music, would expose us to new people and organizaitons, and would give some other folks an interest in helping promote the show in the area they're in. I know we all know lots of KC groups that would love to host a show, esp if we take care of the date and venue!

What do folks think. Do others have ideas on how we could boost attendance?

I'll play in Aug

Jim, I plan to play at WWWD in August. I have Warninng Bell as a new song. Weeds of Hate is a possible song, too. I will have new songs from CO but don't know if they will fit. What time should we be there? Do you have all the sound gear you need? Let me know. David Hakan www.DavidHakan.com

Help in August

David,

I will be needing some help in August. Tommy's RockU band is performing on the Crown Center stage at 3 and 6. So, I'm thinking I will setup in between the two shows, then boogie over to the Vortex after their second performance. I could stand to have your little monitors for foldback, but other than that I think I have it covered. Always looking for help loading in and out, of course.Laughing

Looking forward to your new songs. I've heard them, of course, but the WWWD crowd will enjoy them I'm sure.
